I say it's a win for us who support physical game ownership instead of rental via "streaming" for once. It had these fundamental flaws:
Google doesn't know jack shit about the gaming industry enough to keep their platform alive in the long run anyway, as evidenced by the fact they turned down having an exclusive HIDEO KOJIMA game on their platform, instead opting for other cross platform AAA titles that every other console has. They even disbanded their own game dev studio they made for Stadia!
Cloud gaming is dependent on your internet connection. The games will lag if your internet connection is even a tad shoddy; Stadia even teased a "predictive input" feature to reduce input lag that never came into fruition. You thought Denuvo DRM was worse for consumers? You ain't seen nothing yet!
You don't technically own any of the games you buy on Stadia; All your purchases are going down the digital flusher once Stadia shuts down, At least Google is letting you refund your Stadia hardware...Oh wait, did you buy it directly from Google? No? Well Tough Break, you get nothing!!
At least you could still use the controller for other games bought from Steam/Epic Games Store/GOG/etc. via USB cable. Also the Stadia controller is selling for dirt cheap on ebay now, and someone is already writing a Python script to hack the controller and brute force Bluetooth support if Google doesn't enable it themselves via firmware update. If you need a budget PC gaming controller, the Stadia controller is a viable option.
I'm not sure how this is related to the board, but I imagine those of us into this stuff saw it coming.
