I went ahead and did the legwork to find the source and find the historical documents from that time in order to understand the true intent and not someone from today's interpretation.

The child sacrifice scene actually is depicting pagans, with the Hebrew prophets protesting. It shows early days of Abraham and how early Jews protested against the pagan human sacrifices.
This accords with my own search. One has to dig deeper to find the truth of matters. Taking things out of context is a leftist trick, we should not be engaging in such stupid tactics.
If you want to dig deeper, then according to the Talmud (a jewish scripture), it's permissible for jews to give their children to molech as long as the child isn't passed through the the fire.
