Every time NK launches missiles flying over Japan, the Japanese, understandably, freak out. President Trump, as I recall, got the leader of NK to agree not to launch any more missiles. My take on the missiles is that NK is mostly using them to look tough, as in "See what we have? Leave us alone!"
I've a running hypothesis that NK only launches missiles at strategic times, like when things get hot in other areas of the world, to give both sides something else to focus on.
Not saying Kim Jong Un is a good guy, he's not, but he's not stupid either. his nation is tiny, not to mention surrounded by people who wanna kill each other, and WWIII would go pretty badly for him. Certainly his timing lately has been interesting to say the least.
