I have found that anything with a score above the 30's is likely to be crap. Nearly anything with the Rotten Tomatoes reviewers' score above 50 I just avoid.

If you go with the people's score you will be much better off.
While this is generally true, you should see the audience score for the "Woman King" film. Somehow the audience score is above 90 despite the whole thing being a complete lie about how the Dahomies operated, including the fact that they sold their own people into slavery.
My bet is that only a small percentage of the wokest of woketards would ever see it so that makes sense.
I have found the peoples' score is almost always inverse to the raters' scores.
Yeah man, I see that "Bros" got a 98% Rotten Tomatoes rating. I called BS on that movie the first time I saw the trailer. YUK!
One of many movies that will only be seen by the most mentally broken in the country. If you haven't seen Salty Cracker's take on this yet it is definitely worth 9 minutes of your time.

A-hahahahaha.... these people have NO idea what mainstream Americans are like, do they?
It's all money laundering.
That was my feeling about "Siskel and Ebert". If they gave a movie two thumbs down....I'd be the first one in line to see it.
Siskel & Ebert were reviewing for more high-brow viewers, appearing first on PBS. So naturally, the more common folks among us don't have such high-brow tastes that we might watch a boring documentary or another moderized adaptation of a Shakespeare play. I recently watched Richard III, an updated version including Nazi soldiers and such idiocy, and was underwhelmed by it.

But there is only one recent film adaptation of a Shakespeare play that is worth watching and it is magnificent. Kenneth Branagh's version of "Henry V" is definitely worth watching, and the "Band of Brothers" speech is one of the most moving moments in literature:

The certified reviewers must all have Zippertits or surgically installed Manholes where their pecker used to be. I'm learning not to watch any new releases until the Rotten Tomatoes reviewers have had a chance to rate it.
Same with the Oscar's. Basically if the "expert" powers that be like it, it's probably garbage.
Except Cobra Kai. It's good
