Umm. I’ve never seen a gold tooth cap… I know they used to be a thing but nowadays that’s extremely rare. If you’re a soldier (probably poor and young) you don’t have gold caps. Period. Correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve got a few caps and none of them are golden. And I live in the richest country in the world so… how do ‘so poor so broke so forced against their will Russians’ have gold caps?
They largely don't, this is propaganda. Gold catches more attention than porcelain, resin, etc that's also used and cheaper. Especially resin, it's both harder and more resilient.
