No surprise here. This is another example of how the human body is Naturally programmed to maintain 'Optimal Balance'. I have been talking about the importance of 'Optimal Balance' and its relationship to the immune system for over 20 years now. Employing a pre-programmed biological feedback system, it is hardwired in the DNA. Regarding drugs that enter the body, each individual is effected differently and having responses that are unique to their range of sensitivity, fidelity, bandwidth, tolerance, and resistance.
For men, maintaining the testosterone level in your body is critical for health. How many males actually know the guideline for normal testosterone range in males? How many males know of the many advertised products out there that effect male testosterone levels? What does lower testosterone levels mean?
Some background is required in understanding the potential “moob” problem. First, males produce both testosterone and estrogen in their bodies. Yes, males produce 'some' estrogen. It is the maintenance of the balance between testosterone and estrogen that is critically important. A reduction of testosterone does not effect the estrogen level, but the ratio changes. Lesser testosterone means a larger estrogen proportion. This is when males are vulnerable to developing male boobs (moobs).
Ask any body builder that frequently used steroids when they were young what it permanently did to their testosterone levels. It’s well-known in the body-building business that steroids will cause testosterone levels to drop. It’s folly to take steroids. If not properly monitored and offset by other drugs, some body builders grew what was known as “bitch-tits” (moobs) ruining their careers.
What are the factors affecting testosterone levels? There are many supplements and pharmaceuticals in the area of “prostate health” and male balding remedies containing Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) blockers. DHT is an androgen – a sex hormone contributing to the development to “male” sex characteristics, such as body hair, deep voice, and other functions. For balding, there are two main Big Pharma products called-- Proscar and Propecia. There's a close relationship between prostate health and hair-loss prevention pharmaceuticals. Proscar was originally developed for prostate, but was found to prevent hair loss. Propecia is the brand name for Proscar. It contains finasteride, which is a DHT blocker. One of the many side effects is gynecomastia (ie. moobs; bitch-tits). Health stores also sell natural supplements for prostate health containing a finasteride-like compound that inhibits (blocks) production of DHT. Saw palmetto is one of the natural supplement ingredients that contain significant levels of DHT blockers. Multi-vitamins, especially those for men, also contain prostate health ingredients such as saw-palmetto. Another side effect of finasterides is something called PFSD (Post Finasteride Stress Disorder). It is the result of finasterides causing the crash of testosterone levels in males. Most men never recover from this condition and take testosterone injections for the rest of their lives. Lower testosterone levels lead to many psycho-physical health problems like depression, memory loss, Mood changes, fatigue, loss of lean muscle mass, Hypogonadism, and more. The maintenance of DHT levels in males is 'tied-to-the-hip' of testosterone production.
Remember, what 'Q' (Q #1010,#1011, and #1012) mentioned about toxins in household cleaners? This goes far deeper than what most people understand. If there's interest I'll be happy to provide information concerning this.
Our bodies at all times tries to maintain Optimal Balance. The best any individual can be in terms of Optimal Balance is what the Creator originally provided us.
Huge! The BC pill has created something we as a population don’t see. It has literally caused women to become crazy. It’s like the vax, most people know that something’s going on but they refuse to relate it. And, like you mentioned it has caused moral issues as well. Sadly, so many women and now very young women are using it for menstrual problems. Young girls! It’s an easy fix for something that can probably be fixed with elimination diet or vitamin deficiencies. Tampons are just as terrible and disgusting.
I never wanted to stop a natural cycle of my body. So I never wanted to artificially stop menses (tubes tied, hysterectomy, birth control, etc). Or do things from reducing a fever to fusing back vertebrae or removing tonsils or the gallbladder... I always try to find alternatives first--i.e., a liver/gallbladder cleanse saved my gallbladder a year ago. I believe my Creator God designed my body to function. I'm leery of big pharma and the medical field that want to slash off body parts here and there. I've seen so many people (men & women) have terrible complications from their prescriptions and surgeries.
The hardest part about having the birth control conversation is that most women these days are programmed into thinking that it's our "right" to have birth control and even with evidence that birth control does more harm than good, it's tough programming to break through.
This guy is telling the truth. The pill is horrible for you, no matter what they say. I learned the hard way.
Warning for TMI for you guys out there who get grossed out when hearing about "female problems."
Seriously, stop looking if you have a weak stomach... :-P
So, from the time I, ahem, started "blooming" into womanhood, I had problems. Bad cramps, really heavy bleeding with huge clots that felt like giving birth to tiny gross things, mood swings, etc. It made my teen years a pleasure. Not. At a couple of points in high school, I passed out due to the heavy bleeding. My mom, who had been through worse issues, told me to take baths (no thanks) and take it easy during the "bad" days. Flash forward...
It got worse and worse (endometriosis, I found out later). So I went to a gyn and they put me on the pill. My blood pressure had always been fairly low (105/60 was about average for me) and I had never really been heavy, either. In two months on that pill, I gained 30 pounds and my blood pressure went from low to 130/95. I was unhappy, went to the doc and she casually told me those were side effects of the pill. Like, wtf??? Then she tried to put me on a different pill. I told her no, that I'd rather have cramps than blow up like a balloon and have a heart attack.
Mentioned it to my mom when she pointed out that I looked fat and, when I told her, she told me that, after having a total hysterectomy (endometriosis that had grown all over her organs), they put her on hormones and had the same reactions. She quit, despite them warning her of dire consequences, and felt better.
I know some women swear by the pill, but I don't trust that shit. You don't screw with your body like that and, if you take something and feel terrible, stop taking it. I tried to tell my dad that when they put him on cholesterol medicine, but God rest his soul, he refused to listen and his health kept deteriorating every year he was on all those drugs they pushed on him.
