My partner at work told me a story. His buddy was at a popup covid testing place in Romeoville, Ill at an old Kmart. On a hunch he called CDC and asked if that was a legitimate testing facility. They said no. He then confronted the testers with this info. They immediately packed their shit and left.

That might not actually be the scam these people are running, they may be getting paid by a "legitimate" test site for every sample and paperwork they return. Of course your DNA is still getting stolen and sent to China by the lab, but I'd bet the local fake test site people have a simpler motive.
