From the normies of r/politics, I bring you this absolute gem: "This is a no shit text message from my Fox loving father: 'Putin and the Russian Army are the good guys! You've been sorely misled, by the corrupt MSM (Deep State Satanic Cabal). Wake up!' No edits on my part."..."He's disowned..."😂🤣

I don't really understand most of it. I get a hot and cold wallet, and there's a million different exchanges.
I can break most things down for you. What do you need help understanding?
I have an online wallet where I'm able to exchange one for another, and I can do the same on coin base. I just don't get how you can get a coin that has suspended purchasing.
You need to get a hardware wallet where you can hold anything you want.
Either an old phone that you could put in a faraday cage or a ledger nano.
With an old phone you can download an app called Xumm.

That's where you send your XRP when you use a coin mixing service like http://changelly.com
So you can buy Bitcoin on coinbase and then send it to Changelly and Changelly will send it to your defined XRP address (on your ledger or on Xumm)
You can hold your XRP on services that still support XRP. In Canada I use coinsquare.com.
There's services like Bitrue, Bitget and uphold that should still allow you to buy XRP.
But yeah, you might want to get a ledger nano because it pretty much allows you to hold anything you want.
Also, you need 20 XRP to hold an account so if you buy 1020 XRP and then you want to move it all to another wallet, you'll be leaving 20 XRP on the old wallet and the new wallet will also keep another 20 to hold your XRP. So it;s smart to buy a ledger nano and just keep it all there one time.
If you’re dealing with exchanges you’ll only be able to hold coins they support.
For example Coinbase can’t hold XRP.
However you can use your phone to get an app like Xumm that can hold XRP or you could buy a ledger nano which holds a whole bunch of cryptos including XRP.
So if you want to buy XRP you could use an exchange that supports it, try BitGet, uphold or Bitrue, in Canada I use coinsquare.
If you don’t want to use another exchange to buy, you can use a coin mixing service like Changelly.
All you would do is setup the exchange on Changelly, send the coin you have to the blockchain address Changelly provides and Changelly will convert your coins and send them to the XRP wallet address you provide.
Probably your first step is to get Xumm on your phone or get a ledger nano. I’d suggest the ledger because you can lose your phone.
You could buy your XRP on an exchange and then order a ledger nano and hold your XRP on the exchange until your ledger arrives.
But yeah, if you’re not going to get a ledger, use an old phone in a faraday cage with the Xumm app.
And remember you need like 20 XRP to hold a wallet so don’t get tricky and do the Xumm thing and then switch to ledger nano later, you’ll lose 20 XRP every time you move wallets.
