You'd be surprised that it's not as difficult as it seems once you get organized.
Most schools really only pack 1.5 to 2 hours of education in an 8-hour school day.
You can home school your kids and give them a far better education, well ahead of the public schools, in just 4 hours per day. All it takes is a little planning, preparedness and gathering the right materials. We taught 4-hour days, and then 4 hours for homework. By the time the public school kids were getting home, ours were completely finished with lessons, homework assignments, reports, etc... . They had afternoons, evenings and weekends free.
These days, you're not alone. There are other parents in your area who are also home schooling. You CAN team up. There is no reason why you can't work with other local parents to share the burden.
My family realized how bad the public education system is when my daughters were in the first year of middle school. That's when we decided to home school. By the time they were in 9th grade, both of them were nearly a year ahead of their peers in nearly every subject. One graduated from High School when she turned 17, then went straight into college. The other graduated from High School when she was 16, then went to college.
You can home school and give your kids a great education. You just have to let education be a high priority, and then figure out how to make it work.
