It’s great to see that the site is being worked on but the last change to viewing images (after tapping the thumbnail) has been a complete pain in my arse.
The previous behavior for swiping on an expanded image would scroll the page, but now all it does is scroll the images in place.
It’s not a problem if the image height is small enough, but on really long images I cannot scroll the page without swiping from the very edge of the screen.
I haven’t touched html in years, but if I had to guess, I’d point to the img frames overflow as the culprit.
Yes, this could be because of the recent image scrolling changes. I will look into this.
Added: I am assuming the problem is only on the mobile devices?
I’ve only experienced it on mobile, iPhone 13 if that matters.
I have disabled the image overflow scrolling feature until this can be taken care of.
Hey, I’m kind of curious, what was that feature supposed to do? If it was a desktop feature, maybe media queries can help?
The feature allowed expanding images (in image posts) and then scroll it horizontally. Very useful when large graphics are posted and you need to expand it to read it. I am sure we can re enable the feature while also not affecting vertical scroll.
I can confirm the old behavior is back. Thank you!
