Quote of the year:
I can't believe I have seen what I have just seen.
I wouldnt put it past the man to have been "disciplining" him...That boy didn't want 911 because his dad will probably beat him for making it public. Jesus that was some lukewarm thanks
I would have expected tears and excuse ... I can't swim ... I don't know how to swim ... I lost my voice, couldn't scream for help.
I dont know if I'm truly jaded now or if we just see it easier now.
Dude kept sailing without knowing the son he took out on a boat trip was overboard? World is nuts.
That's not a Father.
How do you lose your child in a lake? Geez! It’s a good thing the Lord had a plan for that guy to go fishing that day. He saved a little boy’s life, he is a hero.
The dad sounds drunk

This happened a few months ago. Across all the forums- left, right, black, etc- everyone believes this man was drunk.
This guy who saved him, has a background in law enforcement, and maybe decided to bring the boy to shore rather than to the drunk father out on the water. (Some have suggested that.)
It was 57 degrees that day- so that pretty cool to be a kid in the water.
Also- if you look at the EMT’s face as he walks past the father, he seems to have a look of disgust.
Another point that seems to have complete consensus is the boy’s fear of them calling 911. Wonder if dad is a read alcoholic, but begs the boy not to bring it up or involve law enforcement ever, because then they will be separated.
This story just SUCKS- but I’m so happy the man saved the kid.
Why wasn't the Dad gotten in trouble for this? He dumped his kid overboard or let his kid fall overboard and took off. He should have flagged down other boats to have them help him get the child, but he didn't. The kid's fearful reaction to calling 9-1-1 tells me that this number has been called before on his dad and he got in trouble for having someone come help him.
Bastard father!
Where was the dad?
Yes, the "dad"
He was at the far end of the lake in his sailboat.
That was him at the end, thanking the guy for bringing his kid in. The dad sounded a little bit off, like he was drunk or low IQ. The kid was terrified and really cold and the dad should have been showing a lot more attention to the boy there when he got there. The whole thing is disturbing.
Thanks. My first thought at the beginning of the clip was that dad is a drunk. Just sayin'
How did the story end?
