Curious how credible people find the Intercept on this topic? Seems like they quote a bunch of Pentagon stats, which may be correct but I suspect are not. There's just no way to know unless one is in the know. It just doesn't ring true that Russia's military would perform as poorly as this article implies.
Putting the troop losses aside, I don't see how Russia is not winning this. From the natural resources perspective, the cultural perspective, the economic perspective, the hearts and minds perspective, and the how cold and spike-vaxxed will I be this winter perspective.
I'd bet on BRIC nationalism & industry over the globohomo knowledge workers and influencers in the coming months. From everything I've observed, winning slowly is of tremendous benefit to Russia. There's no point to them running back to daddy Rothschild and begging forgiveness at this stage.
look at the map and outcomes. Russia is winning this and easily.
They've even managed to employ their most classic tactic of feigning retreat in an offensive engagement.
Wait until winter comes.
