Do computer monitors flicker at the same rate?
Not as far as I know. The patent for a TV ..the description of it is very clear what it is for. Haven't got that info now but someone will have it.
I think this is why the kids today are so rebellious against authority.. they are awake
In the UK the flicker rate is 50 Hz or 100 Hz (dependent on your TV). Anyway, it's linked to the mains voltage AC cycles per second. Elsewhere (e.g. USA) it might be 60 Hz.
Monitors tend to be higher and often selectable.
