I'm convinced! My uncle, who is running for State Senator (on the wrong team, unfortunately), recently introduced me to his associate as his cousin. I could understand this error if it weren't for the fact that: 1) we are closer in age than he was to my mother's age, 2) we grew up next door to each other and were more like brother and sister, and 3) we still keep in touch!

My husband had to correct him.  I later said to my husband that it is scary that my uncle is running for public office but can't even remember how we are related to each other! I'm sure my uncle being fully vaccinated played a big part in his memory lapse!
