Sorry to hear that Fren. Please keep us updated on the "real" situation over there, not the sugar coated Mainstream Media version.

Is it possible for you to find some smooth clean stones and boil them before extra cold nights? Once hot, you can wrap them in thick towels and place them in bed with you overnight. Don't forget to let your faucets drip when the heat is off.
