I don't have a link to it, unfortunately, but I do have a copy of a letter from the Red Cross to a "Mr. Roswell McClelland" dated November 22, 1944, claiming specifically that their delegate "...had not been able to discover any trace of installations for exterminating civilian prisoners" at Auschwitz. This letter is marked "strictly confidential."
As you described about the Red Cross "official" reports, there was never any mention.
