As a few comments stated, why are they admitting this now?

Also, and possibly more importantly, why is a member of the European Parliament finally exposing this?

SPARS 2025 timeline. We're not exactly on track, but it's pretty dang close. Now the question comes will the politicians choose to acknowledge the "bravery" of the people who took the shots, likening their choice to a heroic wartime sacrifice.
