I know we’ve been told nuke scare, but these people have clearly lost their minds. I feel like they might really nuke some shit. Anyone else feel like this? Will it just be a scare or will there be an actual event?

I’ve commented about this thought process several times. Nobody threatens to nuke somebody if they’re going to nuke somebody. When Japan attacked us, the first thing we did was nuke them. We didn’t announce it, we didn’t threaten it, we just nuked them. I feel the same goes for any other country. The only thing that is accomplished by threatening to nuke, is control, propaganda, fear, and leverage. If somebody truly wanted to nuke another country, they would just do it.
Then why is our own resident continuing the propaganda and not negotiating the two sides away from it?
He/the. US govt is pushing it and the United States of America Citizens are going to pay for it. Hope they target the democracy in DC and leaves the Republic alone.
I don’t live my life adhering to fear porn and rage porn. If a nuclear event occurs, I doubt it will be in America. Will it affect the world, yes… But like I said, if someone wants to nuke somebody, they’re just gonna go ahead and do it. They’re not gonna make threats.
I used to have a friend that would call me every night and say he was going to kill himself, he was a really bad alcoholic. At first I had compassion for him, and felt bad for him, but over time I realized it was just a veiled threat. He would call, tell me he was going to kill himself, and then I would just tell him OK… I’ll talk to you tomorrow Travis. And Guess what he never killed himself.
The world is going to do what the world is going to do. All you need to worry about is being prepared for your family, with water, food, and 2A - amongst other things. Keep your eyes on the Lord, and don’t spend so much time fretting. If a nuclear war occurs, is there anything that you could do to change that? No! So focus on the things that you can change and prepare for.
I know we’re nearing the end times, I know where I’m going when I die, so I say burn it out of the ground so we can get on with it. Not too pleased with the world the way it is right now, but for the most part… Our families prepared, and I had this odd sense of peace and contentment in my life. Even amongst all the chaos. I gave Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior the credit for that. What a huge difference it makes when you just focus on him and not the world.
The first thing we did?
It was 4 years later and the US did not even have nukes when attacked.
Does developing nukes count as a thing, how about the Doolittle raid, Iwo Jima?
Unrestricted submarine warfare, Island hopping, the Solomon Islands, Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Marianas, Coral Sea, Midway, the Aleutian Islands, the liberation of the Philippines, Okinawa?
So maybe not the first thing!
Edit :- "Nobody threatens to nuke somebody if they’re going to nuke somebody."
Wasn't the entire doctrine of "Mutually Assured Destruction" based on this very idea, the implicit threat of a nuclear strike given certain red lines?
