I’m an overall very healthy person. I get a cold once or twice a year for a few days. In my early 20s, I got a flu shot 1 time because they were doing them for free at work and I thought why not. I caught everything that came around that year. Not only did I catch everything, the colds were more severe and lasted longer. I’m also pretty sure that was the only year I’ve ever had the flu. It left a lasting impression on me and I will never get one again.
