Jan 6 POTUS shows up late and does his speech. Most people can't even hear him as they are only allowed a half a mile from the stage. Even the closest people to the barriers can't hear a thing, just mumbling. The speaker system sucks, people are cheering every time he pauses. Behind the front row is a sea of people unlike anything ever seen before. It goes all the way up a hill until line of sight disappears. To the left and the right flags are waving until line of sight drops off and extends even further.
Toward the end the volume goes even lower. Most people planned on going to Congress to protest the vote, but instead Trump directs them to the Capitol about 30 min before his speech ends. Those that could make it out start sharing the news, some even on bullhorns, further drowning out the speech.
People start peeling off from the speech and then the majority leave when his speech ends.
The very first people to leave his speech 20 min before it is over trying to get a front row seat end up seeing barriers down and police waving them up.
In the distance as they approach the Capitol, it seems odd there are men who have already climbed the scaffolding where we now identify Ray Epps.
There were enough police at the Capitol to have prevented this, but they did not. In fact, they are standing around everywhere waving protestors in and seem completely oblivious to the obvious tower with people. One waves a giant Trump flag (Epps).
This will better paint the picture of about 20-40mins before the Capitol police start firing into the crowd.
