If they agree - he will be able to confront them and say way more than they need, even if they try to stop him. He might be released from certain level of confidentiality and reveal something that he normally wouldn’t. Also if they try to stop him - it would look really bad for them. They know it. They won’t agree to it.

If they don’t agree - he wins. He will call them cowards. He will be repeating it loud, again and again in his next posts that they were scared to death to listen to him. See: Kari Lake as an example.
In both cases: they’re done.
