"Bellevue High School in Bellevue, Kentucky, United States, is a public high school serving grades 6–12. It is a part of the Bellevue Independent School District. The student body consists of students in grades 6–12. Enrollment is approximately 400 students"
Fairly small school, less than 60 per "year class".
So, assuming 4 x 60 for grades 9- 12 = 240, and about half should be girls, ~ 120. Of that 120 not all will want to play football, and they would need about 25 to have substitutes. Maybe 9th graders don't play with the older ones though. Need more info.
Okay, they need 11 for a team, typically 22-30 players which would be all the boys in the senior class. Likely they’ve done this before. Only one or two kids dropping out for the season could leave them without a QB or running back or 11 players.
That was what I was thinking, remembering the teams at a big high school--no lack of players--and a small one where everyone could play, and if not they were sunk.
