Gaming has been steadily growing even as other entertainment industries have shrunk. There is also precious little formal regulation of the industry. Meaning a shitload of money can be made with relative ease. Hence increasing news about predatory or otherwise scummy behavior by various developers and publishers. Ala EA. Or literally like any mobile game ever now. Gaming Special Interests actually spend several times more then the NRA when it comes to lobbying politicians in the U.S.
