The idea that the solution to an unwanted kitten is to dump it in the dumpster instead of taking it to an animal shelter or a vet's office or trying to find a home for it is just evil. That kitten was clearly newborn and not independent to live on its own as a stray.
Are people really so stupid or careless that they wouldn't at least try to find someone to take the cat?
Not only that, but people abandon their adult cats who have never known life outside a house and figure they can fend for themselves or don't care either way.
I adopted a stray pregnant cat and whatever she had encountered, she was very hostile and tried to escape several times. After she had kittens, she calmed down and is now a sweet lap cat.
