Well as a Christian who frequently angers people and points out things as being satantic (such as homosexuality) while not caring whose toes I step on, I'm just going to say the Matt Walsh is an idiot, and this is the dumbest take I've ever seen.
Yes there ARE anime with demonic themes, Highschool DxD (I was a dumb teenager who wasn't really saved once too) comes to mind since it's basically hentai that normalizes the idea that hell is "fun" and demons are cute sexy waifus, while making a mockery out of true Christian principles.
But to say ALL anime is satanic in a blanket statement is simply not true. There's just as many good regular anime as there are weird and off the wall crap (including stuff with demonic themes). The same is true of western media.
All anime is, is a form of art that has it's origins in Japanese culture. Japan is the second moth Atheist nation on the planet after china, so it's no wonder that they just generally twist any and all concepts they can get their hands on to make an "interesting" story.
I watch anime as a Christian. I grew up watching Yugioh, Dragon Ball Z, Bleach, DIgimon, Naruto, One Piece, etc. In all honesty, most of these anime teach better themes and morals than most modern western media.
Work out and overcome your limits (dragon ball), Value friendship over all else (Yugioh/digimon), Always chase your dreams (Naruto/One Piece), etc.
I kind of agree with u/SirSaturday. This is puritan level stuff that turns people off from Christianity. There's no commandment in the Bible that says "thou shall not have fun or enjoy a different form of art." Though when you consider the source it's not surprising. Like others have pointed out the daily wire is basically a bunch of "jew" RINOs trying to control the narrative while acting as moderately aggressive controlled opposition.
I honestly believe the reason people like this are allowed to have a voice by the media, even if they make good points that go against the narrative, is because of crap like this. They'll make a REALLY good point on one topic, and then turn around and say something stupid and asinine like this that 90%+ of Christians don't actually agree with, just so the MSM can paint all Christians as puritans moral high ground holders who look down their nose at everyone else and tell them that every little thing they do is going to send them to hell without ever giving them an actual resolution (such as introducing them to Jesus).
Just one more way the cabal and khazarians are trying to eradicate Christianity, but thankfully they're failing in pretty much every way when you dig past the surface level "data".
What gets me is these puritan types love censorship and they love to push their way of life on others.
'Won't someone think of the children' is all well and good but they want to kill adulthood for it.
We've made it so no business ever can have smoking, we've taken guns from the public, drugs are illegal and makes a drug war that kills more innocents.
And people wonder why there's so much arrested development, what's the point of being an adult if you can't act like one?
This is a complicated topic where you have to straddle a VERY fine line between doing what's good for society (banning propagation and advertisement of homosexuality, or any form of sexuality or sexual content in public really, online porn, etc.) and going into overboard puritan mode (kill the gays, everything in existence is evil, you're all going to hell for breathing wrong, but I won't give you a solution to any of this. Instead, I'll just point and judge without ever once offering to introduce you to Jesus).
I'm more of the former type. I do believe SOME form of censorship is required, but not a blanket style censorship. Adults are adults and can make their own decisions. What they do is between them and God. But we DO need to shield our children from negative outside influences. Not doing so for several generations is what has resulted in the current mess we're experiencing.
As I said, this is a complicated topic, and both "extreme" sides are equally unreasonable as far as I'm concerned. This is one of those topics where the answer is a solid middle ground between the two. This generally applies to most of the stuff you've listed. If you want to smoke, have a smoking section. If you want to carry guns in public, do so. If not, then don't.
The one topic you mentioned thus far I don't really think applies to is the drugs part, but that's mainly because 95%+ of the illegal drug industry is fueled and run by the CIA or their proxies, so once they're cleaned up, that will almost certainly dry up.
We have the solution for censorship for children. The internet is the solution.
You need a credit card to prove adulthood and you get access to see everything.
But companies like YouTube seem to refuse the idea of making adults pay a one time fee to prove adulthood with a credit card. Instead they implement bullshit ESG censorship.
