The idea that he got 2500 sheriffs to help him do anything is absurd. They would first start with who are you? you want me to do what? Even if you believe there are 2500 like minded sheriffs willing to help, do the math, work out how long it would take to contact 2500 sheriffs and then organize them. By the way, Wikipedia says there are about 3100 sheriffs offices in the US.
