If telegram user information can be accessed through some backdoor, then it is possible. China could send an Amazon package of basically anything, for example am iPhone, but lace the inner package with a toxin. This is just a possibility, not saying it's happening.

Seems like they already kind of do that. Ever put together an Amazon floor lamp or hardware you get that's made in China?

Usually the fasteners are coated in some sort of sticky coating that causes your fingers to throb with pain by the time you're done, and it refuses to wash off with soap.
