Wolfe was sentenced to two month's prison and a $7,500 fine for lying to the FBI during the latter's investigation of his intelligence leaks to Ali Watkins, a New York Times national security journalist, with whom he was involved in a romantic relationship from December 2013 to December 2017

The New York Times announced Thursday that the Justice Department had seized the phone and email records of one of its reporters, Ali Watkins.
According to the Times, Watkins was notified of the "secret" seizure in a letter back in February. The DOJ was reportedly tracing information as part of a classified investigation into leaks occurring in the Trump administration.
According to the letter, DOJ collected Watkins' phone records between Feb. 1, 2017, and July 1, 2017, in addition to all emails relating to two of Watkins' personal email accounts, "from account inception" through November 2017.

James Wolfe, a longtime former director of security at the Senate Intelligence Committee, was indicted and arrested Thursday night for giving false statements to FBI agents during their investigation into leaks of classified information to the media.
IMO eventual take down of Wolfe for sending photos of classified documents from inside the Senate SCIF was a set up, as was contact in 2014 between Montgomery and Wolfe, among others.
