I saw this story on 20/20. Sadly, CPS in S. California, who took custody of the younger children, failed them and although a lot of money was donated on their behalf it was under the control of CPS. The last I heard, one of the younger kids works at a fast food restaurant and has to ride a bike and take the bus to and from work when there was plenty of money to get them a car and/or send them to college.
