Former U.S. Army Special Operations Helicopter Crew Chief here and I can tell you this is not normal.

I saw one Blackhawk flying low and slow over Augusta, Maine last night about the time of this post. There were also many people on the book of faces posting that there were multiple birds doing the same around a certain area of the city. Strange goings on indeed.
