I had once a few years ago read some a book from a 100 or 200 years ago where the author made the claim that there were additional moons up in the heavens.
This morning I and my sons are pretty certain we saw a heavenly body between the moon and ourselves and I am wondering is anyone here knows good resources on actual observations of the observed skies.
Thanks!
Perhaps you caught a glimpse of the real moon.

I'm enjoying exploring that link.
Evidently, artificial moons to help light up the night skies is a thing...

they could be seeing the ISS passing by
The supposed ISS in orbit does not look like a heavenly body.
IIRC there are some really small irregular moons that also orbit earth, but we’re talking asteroid size. As far as people on the ground seeing something else orbit earth, that’s going to be either the ISS or a shuttle going to/from it.
I'm on it. https://media.128ducks.com/file_store/thumb/566c32e6bdb9452f0042c3de04afdee83d951f7b839c171e1e6f37b5e210beb2.jpg
Not that I give a LOT of credibility to the Zeta Talk website, but it's an interesting theory.... that a large planet called Nibiru has a 3,600-year orbit and is now entering our solar system again. And that it is now visible under certain circumstances. Take this for what it's worth, here is one of their newsletters, and the photos and discussion of Nibiru is at the bottom of this link:

Instead of Nibiru, check out the planet "Hercolubus".
Will do.
This is "planet X" nonsense. I've asked on a forum of amateur astronomers worldwide (thousands) and none of them has seen anything remotely resembling an unknown moon or planet. If it were there, someone would have seen it. Even if it were invisible, it would affect the orbit of other planets (just as Pluto was discovered). So I call bullsh;t.
Please note my opening sentence... that I don't give much credibility to the theory. Still, it seemed pertinent to the conversation, and the OP's statement was a bit vague, so I put it out there for entertainment value more than anything else.
No need to add apologetic qualifiers to your post.
Thousands of cult members could have their own reasons for disavowing a truth.
