The Washington Times: Candy prices up 21% over last year heading into Halloween

I invested the 16 cents I saved on my July 4th BBQ for just this kind of emergency.
Which year because I heard the July 4th BBQ was up due to inflation. Also, according to Biden, it was down from 2020 in 2021.
That's 1/16 th of a "Snicker" bar.
Don't sugar coat this story.

LOL 🤣
I'll just wait until the half-off sale on November 1st.
We bought our candy a long time ago. We never have kids coming around, so we always eat it ourselves.
Knock, knock...
Lights off. We don't answer the front door, as no one we know comes to that door. Too bad. :)
I went to Costco to buy candy for our company's trunk or treat event yesterday. Spent 200 bucks and the amount of candy it got me was shocking surprising how little it was. And that too after about 45 bucks off "instant savings"
Last year we had so much candy left over and this year we all ran out and we actually had about 15% fewer kids show up to the event compared to last year.
Now the Dentist will go broke, It's just one crisis after another.
