"Hunter Biden, the son of current President Joe Biden, networked with a high-ranking official at the Chinese embassy during a state dinner hosted by then-Vice President Biden and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, emails reviewed and verified by Fox News digital show.
Ahead of a star-studded extravaganza to be hosted for Chinese president Hu Jintao at the U.S. State Department, Hunter Biden’s business associate who was at Guardian Realty, Marvin Lang, thanked him for a lunch they appeared to have had in Bethesda, Maryland in December 2010.
Hunter’s former business associate Eric Schwerin, currently described as a “52-year-old fixer” with deep ties to the Bidens, and who has “made at least 27 visits to the White House and other official venues during the Obama/Biden presidency,” sent an email to Lang about business networking that Hunter Biden had made at the star-studded state dinner hosted by Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton on January 19, 2011.
“Marvin – Actually, just talked to Hunter and he said he sat with the number three official at the Embassy today at lunch and has contact information to follow up after the President has left the U.S.,” the January 19 email said. “Hunter’s said his contact will be helpful, but the Minister won’t be able to focus on this until after the delegation has left at the end of the week. Sounds like this is the right contact though. We’ll let you know when he and Hunter are able to connect.”
Hunter Biden’s contact with the ‘number three official’ at the embassy, a Chinese ambassador named Deng Hongbo, came at a January 2011 dinner at the U.S. State Department hosted by then-Vice President Biden and former Secretary of State Clinton, which was attended by many of the most powerful and influential people in the country.
“Over 260 politicians, lawmakers, business leaders, musicians, and foreign policy wonks attended the lunch in the State Department’s Benjamin Franklin Room,” Foreign Policy reported. “At the head table were Biden, Hu, Henry Kissinger, Barbra Streisand, Johnson & Johnson CEO William Weldon, Sen. John Kerry, Yale’s Nancy Yao Maasbach, Vera Wang, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, Clinton, Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo, UPS CEO Scott Davis, Rockefeller Foundation President Judith Rodin, Sen. Richard Lugar, Yo-Yo Ma, Dr. Jill Biden and Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan.”
“Also spotted in the crowd by the press pooler was Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, Attorney General Eric Holder, Commerce Secretary Gary Locke, Energy Secretary Steven Chu, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, Colin Powell, Madeleine Albright, NBC’s Ann Curry, James Brolin, figure skater Michelle Kwan, Terry McAuliffe, Quincy Jones, Kal Penn, Valerie Jarrett, Susan Sher, Tina Tchen, and Courtney O’Donnell,” the report noted. ..."

"Chinese President Xi Jinping secured the blessing of his still influential predecessor, Hu Jintao, before launching a corruption probe against a former senior aide to Hu - a sign that internal Communist Party harmony and respect for elders still holds sway in Xi’s historic crackdown on official graft.
Hu signed off on the probe into disgraced former aide Ling Jihua, who is suspected of trying to cover up his son’s death in a luxury sports car crash two years ago, people with ties to the leadership said.
The party announced last week that Ling was being investigated for “suspected serious discipline violations” - the usual euphemism for graft. It gave no other details.
“In investigating Ling, Xi was not targeting Hu,” one individual with ties to the leadership told Reuters. “Hu did not (try to) block the investigation. He agreed to and supported it when consulted.”
Hu stepped down as party and military chief in 2012 and as state president the following year in the first clean handover of power since the People’s Republic of China was founded in 1949.
Ling was first demoted in September 2012 after sources said his son was involved in a fatal crash involving his Ferrari sports car in Beijing six months earlier.
The incident was an embarrassment for the party, which is sensitive to perceptions that children of top party officials lead rich, privileged lifestyles completely out of touch with the general population."

"A defector from China has revealed some of the innermost secrets of the Chinese government and military, including details of its nuclear command and control system, according to American intelligence officials.
Businessman Ling Wancheng disappeared from public view in California last year shortly after his brother, Ling Jihua, a former high-ranking official in the Communist Party, was arrested in China on corruption charges.
Ling Wancheng, the defector, has been undergoing a debrief by FBI, CIA, and other intelligence officials since last fall at a secret location in the United States, said officials familiar with details of the defection who spoke on condition of anonymity. The defector is said to be a target of covert Chinese agents seeking to capture or kill him.
Among the information disclosed by Ling are details about the procedures used by Chinese leaders on the use of nuclear weapons, such as the steps taken in preparing nuclear forces for attack and release codes for nuclear arms.
Other secrets revealed included details about the Chinese leadership and its facilities, including the compound in Beijing known as Zhongnanhai. That information is said to be valuable for U.S. electronic spies, specifically for cyber intelligence operations targeting the secretive Chinese leadership.
The defection was triggered by the arrest of Ling’s brother, Ling Jihua, a former presidential aide who secretly obtained some 2,700 internal documents from a special Communist Party unit he headed until 2012. The unit was in charge of storing and archiving classified documents.
Ling Jihua then gave the documents to his brother, who owns a $2.5 million residence in Loomis, California, near Sacramento. The classified documents were transferred between the brothers as a safety measure: They were intended to be used as leverage to dissuade Chinese authorities from taking action against Ling Jihua.
According to the officials, Ling Wancheng, the defector, kept the documents for safekeeping and was directed to release them to U.S. authorities in the event Ling Jihua were arrested. ..."

Two of Ling Wansheng's brothers, Ling Zhengce and Ling Jihua, were placed under investigation in 2014. However Ling left for the United States after his brother's investigation had been initiated.
The New York Times reported that Ling purchased a home from NBA player Beno Udrih in Loomis, California, and had resided there with his wife for a period of time and befriended their neighbors, but disappeared in October 2014. Ling's subsequent whereabouts were unknown.
In August 2015 the Obama administration expressed concerns about undercover Chinese law enforcement operatives with the Chinese Ministry of Public Security in the United States who were searching for and repatriating Chinese fugitives under Operation Fox Hunt.[5] According to the New York Times, "should he seek political asylum, he could become one of the most damaging defectors in the history of the People’s Republic.""
Thanks for the stickie, dear Mods and frens.
Hu Jintao is basically the personification of the Chinese Deep State.
He picked Xi Jinping to be his successor because he'd been a loyal deputy, and Hu thought he could do the whole puppet master from the shadows thing. Went swimmingly... until Xi decides since he's in the spotlight he should be making some of the calls.
Hu decides giving up power was a mistake, so he "volunteers" to setup a police task force to attack the growing problem of rampant corruption, seditious talk, and moral impropriety that threatens the CCP. I forget the name, but it's something silly like "Section 59". Hu then picks the Falun Gong movement (which is basically one old dude's Tai Chi class that also weaves in some quasi religious Daoist stuff), does a PR job on them and presents them as pure evil incarnate, and ramps up his private police force to squash anyone connected to Falun Gong.
Over time, he manages to build it up so that his secret police are basically all-powerful, and there's like 9 million officers, which means they're larger than the Army and well armed.
Imagine if the FBI got the military's budget and didn't have to pretend about civil rights at all because they'd just keep disappearing until no one was left to ask questions.
There were reports a while back that Xi Jinping was running scared. Narrowly avoiding assassination attempts, afraid to leave the country lest he get overthrown, so on. Hu was the guy behind the guy who was behind it.
So, arresting him publicly is a big deal. Arresting him publicly without bothering to comment is also a pretty big flex. It all leads to some pretty interesting questions.
Is Xi a whitehat? He's done some Deep Statey stuff, but was that because he had a knife in his back the whole time? If so, are we sure he made his move at the right time and has all the bases covered? Does he have control of the secret police, or is this the opening shot in a Chinese civil war? Was all of this coordinated with the whitehats for an international October surprise? Is this something the whitehats were waiting on before starting a final push? Is the DNC shitting bricks because they just lost a major power behind their crooked schemes and the public trials meant to humiliate Hu are going to pull them down, too?
Lots of possibilities, and it's going to be fun to see how it shakes out.
And hopefully that right soon.

I'm too dense to figure out the first part of that drop, and that seems like it's pretty key.
All I'm saying is there's a difference between "We're allies because we're both moving towards the same goal for mutual benefit" and "I trust to you to watch over my chicken tendies while I go get a soda refill".
Can you find an owl / Y there?
