Gina is a great Australian. As a little girl of just 5, she learnt about iron ore mining at her fatherβs side. She later took over the company when her father passed. She has always been generous and I bet many Aussies her age when we heard what the collective team did, thought Gina being a no rubbish operator, would withdraw her sponsorship.

Billionaire. Gina is the richest women in Australia and her hard work got her there. I do not begrudge that of anyone. The ones that thieve off the taxpayer either as politicians or kickbacks for donors are the scum of the earth - pharmaceutical industrial complex and military industrial complexes to name just two. Most politicians that have been there for decades are thieves. But then again, how does the Obamas arrive as a politician with under $1million and go out with $20+ million with luxurious homes in the Hamptons and DC? Donβt tell me thru book deals. Theyβre criminals and havenβt worked a day in their lives.
I had dinner with Rose Hancock in Montreal back in 2000. It is through her daughter I learned about Gina's father. At the time, she controlled much of the fortune. Lost it in a court battle.
He was unwell and I would imagine Gina would have been beside herself watching his hard work being flittered away. And her children. I think 2 wanted her fortune but one that she has been teaching the family business stood by her side.
