If the thermonuclear component relied on the presence of tritium and deuterium, the bomb materials will have gone sour by now. Tritium has a half-life of 12.3 years. The larger bombs rely on the production of tritium by neutron activation of lithium, in lithium deuteride. Nuclear weapons are interesting. There is more maintenance than you would suppose.
