That's not really that cold, 68 fahrenheit? I haven't used my heater in like 8 months so I'm a little fuzzy on the exact number but i think i basically keep mine at that temp at night anyway during the winter, if i keep it higher during the day i don't think it's by much
I guess there's the argument that you run it a little cold to be used to the cold, or you run it a little cold to cool off. It's an interesting debate.
Hope it doesn't get too cold in Europe during the winter. Having the heating completely off between 2300 and 0500 where I live would be devastating, my pipes would freeze!
If it is 0 outside the heater won't ever get to 68. Especially in a building that is big, or the doors open and close all day as visitors go in and out.
68 unitl 11. Then 6 hrs no heating. I can tell you, they will wake up in a 45-50 deg house, if it's below 40 outside.
In fact, the spike the power grid will see as millions of electric heaters kick on at once, will likely be more damaging then letting them run all night.

You missed the part about HEAT OFF from 2300-0500
Damn I keep my AC on that during the summer!

My home right now is 75.2F and it's 32.18F outside.
Sounds like you have freakishly good insulation.
