I got that.

It reminds me of the "Beatles are more popular then Jesus" campaign,

which dropped the Beatles popularity.

The 3-letters didn't like them (especially Lennon) having this much control. They had files on them.

Lennon being killed was probably just a coincidence....... . . . . .

I feel like it did and didnt. Maybe dropped it with the older folks but “all press is good press” was definitely at play as well. When you get people burning your records you can smile and know that you are about to make a ton of money.
