You seem to know stuff on this... Why do some sites not come up with you search for the URL on archive.is?

Looking for saved snapshots and not finding any? Is that what you mean?

If the site was never archived, it won't come up and will typically give you a chance to archive it.

One thing I like to do is archive links from https://web.archive.org/ to https://archive.today because they load faster at the latter site.

So if you try to search a link that's no longer up, and it wasn't archived, load it from https://web.archive.org/ (if it's there, of course) and then rearchive it.
