They blamed the plane being shot down on Russia, but at the time, 4chan did some autism and found a mobile ground to air rocket launcher near the Russian border, Ukrainian side with Ukrainian military markings. They found a ton of other stuff as well.

Ukraine has been a deep-state yes man for a while.
