right, i'm sure nobody " get's hacked " and has people's personal data " stolen " while never discovering the culprits because they actually do a deal with the people they are selling info to without the informed consent of the users. even better if the ones obtaining the info are the government and can shield you from investigation.
I think that's definitely how it works for a lot of companies that have illegally sold personal data. But in the case of Facebook/Twitter/Google, Q confirmed they were created by the government/DS. The information sharing was baked in from the beginning.
