Like how "the image was digitally authored" or the deepfakes or watever. What if they are just slow dripping all of that knowing some people aren't gonna bite, and eventually over the course of many years we as a society see blatant fake news and we've just learned to live with it or watever

Edit: Like for example if they're trying to make it so that the next time we see something completely outrageous and fake on the news we won't really give a shit
