I have a sedevacantist, Traditional latin mass, non diocese affiliated church near me. Sister i talked to maintains all other religions are destined for hell, even Lutherans.
Im open to a conversion but idk. Imo Jesus doesnt need the middleman but ive been wrong before.
This sums it up for me:
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Just acknowledge Jesus as your Savior. Ask Holy Spirit to guide you. Let Him be the leader of your life. Read your Bible, pray for discernment, repent of all your sins on the daily. God will lead you to the place that you will learn more about Him. God will bring the right people to minister to you.
Nothing you said was worthy of a downvote...
Probably a catholic
The only person truly responsible for living in christ conciousness is you. A lot of religous leaders care as much for your personal spiritual sovereignty as a used car salesman cares that you get a 'great car'.
Of course many can help you along your journey, but the christ message is that the individual is ultimately responsible.
I was raised Catholic, converted as an adult to Lutheran (LCMS, which is a conservative synod - I say this because there are some newer "flavors" of "Lutheran" that should not be allowed to call themselves such). I beg to differ with the Sister.
Grace alone, faith alone, scripture alone.

I converted to Lutheran form Catholicism as well. I was tired of the fire and brimstone. Now I celebrate God's Love, Mercy, Grace and forgiveness. And now I don't have to do jumping jacks in church anymore.
Jesuits fuck it up. Otherwise it's based.
Sister is incorrect. We don't know what God will do and our presumption that we know everything is a Sin. Nowhere does it say other denominations are condemned to hell. Our use of organized religions is based mostly on personal preferance. I am a convert to the Catholic Church. The Church teaches from a position of authority given when Jesus entrusted Peter to build his church. I approached my conversion from the position of what did I feel was missing from the protestant denominations I visited. I have always been interested in history and as we know the Protestant Reformation and formation of so many denominations mostly came down to the humans in leadership disagreeing on parts of what had always been taught through Tradition or writings which eventually became what we call the bible. Language is Very interesting to me. I know there have always been translations of the ancient languages that aren't very accurate. Even today, the words change usage based on the use in society
The community of worshipping together is an important part of understanding God's word.
Also if u feel led come check out Prayer Garden. A server full of ANONS from all denominations https://discord.gg/sngRVxKtyU
ThanQ, Slechta5614!
Glooptygloop, I’m not quite sure what “sedevacantist” means. Please expand — in English, not Latin! 🤣
Basically they believe the pope is not valid and that the papal seat is vacant.
That actor claiming to be the Pope is a Joke! There are so many lost chapters in the Bible — I think 7?, not sure. It doesn’t really matter though as we are in the massive spiritual war, I think or suppose.
As for the Jesuits—why so much hatred and disparaging comments? I am a Catholic, and I love the Jesuits, the Dominicans, the —whomevers. I believe in the Glory of GOD and to peace of HIS people on earth.
GODSPEED
And, another thing, knowing Holy Mary - the Glorious - is beyond — I will not pontificate, but praying the Holy Rosary daily is a joy.
Acts 2:37 and following sums up exactly what to do:
“Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.” When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off —for all whom the Lord our God will call.”
So….You hear of Jesus, believe what you hear, repent of your sins, confess Jesus as Lord of your life forward, be immersed with Him in the watery grave of baptism (burying your old life and sins) and rise up a saved Christian with the HolySpirit within you!
Then begin to live as sin free as possible day by day, helping others along the way. It’s a great life now and forever.
Ask Jesus to Guide you. U will get a million different responses when u ask man. We all wanna be right but few seek out the one that is always right. Form a personal relationship with him and he will guide u where he needs u. Maybe a catholic church or somewhere else.
Edit: might be a better post on c/christianity
Amen to that! 🙏
Jesus had disciples. Not religious zealots.
