Gonzalo Lira recently posted two soliloquies which were both accusatory and predictive about NATO’s apparent motivations and likely near-term kinetic military objectives. He concluded that after detonating a “dirty bomb” on Ukrainian territory, the USA and NATO would use the opportunity as an excuse to move the 101st Airborne Division from Romania into Odessa.
While I think his big picture thinking is generally correct, I disagree with Mr. Lira on the mission of the 101st Airborne Division in the scenario he described.
Good reading - especially the replies. Two things.
Odessa. Odessa. Odessa. It’s Russia’s and while many Russians have been forced out of there is still more than 50% Russians living there. It’s Russia’s pearl. It’s history, it’s heritage and it will never be given over to the West.
The SMO has not been signed off. It’s still open - I think there are many Russians wanting to fight for the Motherland. There are figures that on top of the 300,000 of RESERVISTS that were originally called up and have been observed into different Russian Battalions, another 200,000 have already signed to join when needed. I think it was Colonel Douglas MacGregor said there are nearly 1million ready to serve and are serving in the Russian Military.
