Some years ago my (then) bank in the UK called me with an offer to keep ALL my data "secure". I simply had to send them a form with ALL my data. I told them that my data was currently securely hidden away in a notebook in a safe and asked them to explain how duplicating it on their server would make it more secure?

No answer, so I hung up.
