They used to ship plastic to china, and pay them to take it.
They would then dump it in the sea,and the currents would take it away. Probably to that big plastic pile in the mid pacific.
Plastic can easily be made into diesel fuel.
I've been told by a dude that works for the city that the garbage and recycling goes in the same pile when the trucks come in.
Lol same
Yeah, well in Oregon, you know a lefty state, they ran out of recycling money. So they don't recycle hardly at all anymore. The boob tubes just don't tell the purple haired freaky people that their recycle money is being spend on free needles and drugs for homeless people.
Plastics recycling is a scam (source: I work in the plastics recycling industry)
Aluminum is great though.
Should have used hemp all along. I'm not a tree hugger. Just sayin.

I have more confidence plastic thrown in the trash will end up in the landfill than recycled stuff gets recycled. Don't bother recycling cardboard. It turns back into dirt quick in my compost piles.
Recycling is one of the biggest frauds there is. I know a person who works for a private trash hauler, and they say if they have too many full recycle trucks, they send them to the landfill for tipping and that only a few trucks actually discharge at a recycling site. He told me that both of those 90 gallon cans I have you can toss trash into both because the chance of the recycling actually making it to a recycling site is very low.
