Im researching stock sales from business owners to see if they know whats coming. I was looking into Amazon given its metioric fall. Bezos recently "gifted" 1,000,000 shares.
I was trying to figure out who he gifted it to and how much it was worth and I ran across this article stating that Bezos had gifted 47000 shares in may worth 120,000,000. However, that doesnt make sense. the stock was worth about 130 a share at that time. if 47000 shares were worth that much then each share would have to be worth over $1000. Am I missing something here? Is the article simply wrong about the amount that was gifted? And if not, then a gift of 1,000,000 shares would be worth over a billion dollars.
Kind of like stealing a car costing 50k, being allowed to license it with no background or VIN number check, then 'gifting' it to the rube who accepts it as worth 100k, and write it off on taxes and hide when you hear a knock on your door.....
Either that or total stock fraud, right, Jim Cramer?
Remember that ticker tape that used to scroll across the bottom of the screen on every fake news channel?
What happened to those? It was total stock fraud......using your pension and social security funds.
Yea I guess that makes sense. I can’t really think of another explanation. There are more articles with the same phenomenon at various times. I checked the filings and they all say the same thing.
Allegedly Bezos donated shares for a value of 10x more than the stocks were actually worth.
Very strange.

Because it isn't just stock.......it's Tavistock.
Amazon did split and I don't remember exactly when but once a split occurs, instead of showing a huge drop on the chart, the whole chart pricing is adjusted.
not sure but he may have a a different class of shares, I could be wrong but thats the first thing that came to mind if the numbers in the article are correct.
