Not sure what "banners" you mean. I think you might be referring to the name of the band, etc.
The song says that he began as a drunk and a druggie, but he encountered Jesus, and then threw the Devil out of his life.
"Na Casa do Senhor não existe Satanás, Xô Satanás" means that in the House of the Lord, Satan cannot/does not exist. And then it says "Xô" Satanás. Xô is a voodoo (candomblé) command to an evil spirit to leave the body of the victim. An exorcism. OUT! OUT! OUT Devil!
That's what we need right now for Lula. And for Bo Jiden.
in the video in the street they have some banners with writing on them, they're kinda hard to see though. i'm looking for confirmation that the vid is totally legit. is that song traditional or more contemporary?
I watched it and conferred with a friend. Neither of us know what it says.
He thinks it might say “Intervenção Federal” (Federal Intervention), which refers to Art. 142 and invokes the military to preserve the Republic. I don't see that, but am also a man of limitations. And a man's got to know his limitations.
Ah! I had not watched it all the way through. I will do so now.
The song is not "traditional" in the sense that it is not 50+ years old. It is a song from the Nordeste (North East), which is sadly here from where a lot of the corruption is coming for this Lula win. But also I do not consider any part of Brasil to be free from corruption.
I will go watch it and comment when I'm done. "Hold pleeeez."
For those who do not know the song:

A fun song, about being a total shitbird, and becoming redeemed, and removing evil.
Thanks for the translation. What do the banners say?
