Sauce?

A search for "Movement BRasil 200 anos" yields content related to the 200 year anniversary of Brazil.

The partly obscured digits on the bottom picture also look to be 1822 - 2022.

(*I myself posted a compilation of pics in Twit, because I was told they were "Bolsonaro support vs Lula support". Subsequent investigation and verification by more knowledgeable folks showed it was not the case. The mass rallies were for the 200 anniversary (bicentenary) celebration of Brazil.)

(Also, eye witness reports plus video evidence have shown a LOT of support for Lula in downtown (city).

Anons need to be just as vigilant as, if not more vigilant than, regular folks. We have our own biases that can easily get played to.

My knee jerk reaction to Bolsonaro vs Lula "support" montages reinforced that to me, again. (I gobbled up the report or suggestion without moving to verify or credit.)

I'm not saying Lula isn't a criminal (he is) or corrupt (ahem, he is), or that Bolsonaro doesn't have overwhelmingly greater support among the Brazilians (?), I'm just saying, the pictures .... are they actually Lula vs Bolsonaro?

I don't think so.

Top? Who knows what it is. Bottom? "200 anos" gathering.

So what is sauce? If I'm wrong, I'd love to be able to know, or to verify (that I'm wrong).

If I'm right, a more intriguing question is, why are so many GAWites ready to comment "yep" "Yeah" "Sure" without even checking ?
