From article:
The mayor of a rural Oregon town is facing accusations of attempted murder following a road rage incident Monday night.
The Hood River County Sheriff's Office said Rufus Mayor Dowen Jones was arrested Tuesday for allegedly firing multiple rounds from a handgun at a passing vehicle near Parkdale, KPTV reported.
Deputies said two adults and two children at about 8:45 p.m. were traveling south of Hood River on Highway 281 following an SUV that was driving erratically. The SUV then abruptly pulled over.
Deputies said the family’s vehicle slowed to get a description to report to authorities but Jones stepped out of the vehicle and fired the weapon at the family’s car, damaging it. No one was hurt.
It wasn’t immediately known if Jones has a lawyer to comment on his behalf. Jones was identified as the suspected shooter and arrested Tuesday in Rufus by deputies with the Sherman County Sheriff’s Office.
Jones was lodged into the Northern Oregon Regional Corrections in The Dalles on one count of attempted murder and four counts of first-degree attempted assault.

Not to defend his actions but this man is known to me. This is completely out of character for him. He has had multiple brain tumors removed in years passed and recovered completely. He has always been easy going and willing to help neighbors, schools and in the communities surrounding Rufus, OR. He is an electrician. He has a wife and young kids. I cant say if he was DUI or some other medical issue resurfaced. guess we wait and see on that. But the question becomes (for me) was he vaxxed? And if so, did that start up some kind of brain annomaly again?
I dont care if he had brain tumors removed anyone that can just shoot into a vehicle with 2 children in it needs to be in prison. What he was before went out the window the minute he did that.
I agree with you, he should be in prison.
The point I was trying to make is wondering whether the vax affected his previous medical problem, in which case we may be seeing a lot more of this kind of thing come from people who used to be 'normal.'
I had a friend who underwent a dramatic personality change when he developed a glioblastoma. He lost his ability to control his thoughts and developed severe paranoia and anger. Completely uncharacteristic.
Although, hospitals aren’t much better than prison, so your ill wishes aren’t much worse than my thought that he may need medical care.
