The only way for a social networking site to take off is with the immediate support of the mainstream media nowadays. Without that, it's dead in the water.

But I'm sure that they're working on this, and it will be backed by the full force of the mainstream media.

My guess/hope is that they'll create another deep-state run social media site, and will have the mainstream media push it hard. The mainstream media will constantly pull posts from it to "report" on. It will be on mainstream media in the same way Twitter is now. But... nobody will actually be using it. Everyone will recognize that it's forced. Hopefully...
